Squash playing students and their parents are invited to a free demo match next week between Greg Gaultier, the five-time European Champion and World #2, and Patrick Chifunda, ranked 107 in the World. Both are superb players, and this is a rare opportunity to see world class squash here in the DC area.
After the best of three game match is played, Greg and Patrick will answer questions from juniors about squash.
To attend RSVP (acceptances only please) to me. The match and Q&A will be held July 9 at 7 pm at Episcopal High School in Alexandria. Don’t delay, as there are very few seats open to non campers. Please note that you may not attend without RSVPing in advance.
Gaultier and Chifunda will also coach a junior camp next week Monday through Friday and an adult (and advanced junior) mini camp Friday evening and Saturday July 10-11. More info on the camps can be found at www.totalsquashcamps.comor by calling Gus Cook at 443-622-0360. There is a special Potomac day camper rate of $750 for the weekly camp. If you can only attend for part of the week or part of the day, Gus may be able to offer a spot at a reduced rate. There is also another week of Total Squash Camp the week of July 13 that includes Patrick Chifunda as one of the coaches. Both weeks offer a great opportunity to improve your game a lot.
My son Geoffrey and my daughter Kira attended Total Squash camp earlier this month and both enjoyed it and learned a lot. The coaching and coaching ratio is first rate.
