Marc Forster – Head Coach

Head Coach – Marc Forster

Growing up in Papua New Guinea and playing all his junior Squash there, Marc had a healthy appreciation of Squash having played it at the top level of PNG Squash and representing PNG at South Pacific Games and South East Asian Games.

It was not until a young Rodney Eyles training under Joe Shaw turned up to play the PNG Open that the realization hit of the workload needed to attempt the PSA Circuit.

Returning to Australia and assisting with the management of East Squash Centre, Innisfail and moving on to Goondi Squash Centre, Innisfail, these years provided a great insight into players, personalities and methods of coaching that produce players of an elite Junior Level.

Moving on to Brisbane as the State Development Officer/State Coaching Director the realization hit home that his skills were not in organization but in practical Coaching.

Also moving to Brisbane at this time were Steven Finitsis and Lisa Camilleri. These players provided a great working environment for understanding the developing WISPA/PSA player and there were many successes between these two players. Lisa played The World Juniors for Australia and Steven chosen to represent Australia at the World Doubles. Both have gone on to very respectable Professional Careers with many more representations and Tournament Success

Currently Marc stands as the Head Coach of Squash Vision Academy and as the Coach of the 2012 National Talent Squad. An initiative of Squash Austalia, the Talent Squad Provides a defined pathway to the World Tour. The pathway provides the ideal stepping stone for Juniors to aspire to play for Australia and to move on to the World Circuit.

Events such as Australian Tour Events, State and National Junior Events, Milo Malaysian JuniorScottish & British Juniors and Washington Summer Camps occupy the Yearly Calendar.

Day to day operations consist of Academy player sessions and the running of Nathan Squash & Tennis.
